THE BREEZY BLOG
Welcome to the final post of my Prom Series for 2016! I have been doing makeup on my model for several years for school dances and she definitely likes the more natural look. I know some like to pack it on which is totally fine but I am all about the classic look. After all, you will look at these photos 10, 20, 30 years from now and you are not going to want to see your teenage self with bright blue eyeshadow and thick winged liner! So with this look I kept it pretty neutral with a soft mauve-pink lip but added some fun with a sparkly pigment on the lid. Get this look by scrolling down and taking notes :) Key products used to create this look:
A must: always take care of the canvas before applying makeup. Her skin is pretty normal (as in not too dry or oily) so I just moisturized her skin with Embryolisse Hydra Masque & MAC Mineralize Charged Water Moisture Eye Cream. She also has pretty full brows so I just defined them by using Anastasia Beverly Hills Dipbrow Pomade. For her eyeshadow base, I used a holy grail product... MAC 24 Hour Extended Eye Base. Crease colors used (MAC): Soft Brown & Folie The star of the show was MAC 'Tan' Pigment. I first sprayed MAC Fix+ to my MAC #242 Brush then dipped into the pigment. I made sure to only apply this on the inner to center part of her lid. I topped that off with MAC Star Violet and added a small wing with Ingot #77 Gel liner. I added waterproof mascara and Naimies Lashes in the style #747S with Callas Eyelash adhesive. Skin: I applied MAC Pro Longwear Nourishing Waterproof Foundation with a BeautyBlender & set that with MAC Mineralize Skinfinish Natural and a Real Techniques Brush. Concealer: MAC Pro Longwear Concealer, set with Laura Mercier Transcluscent Setting Powder. Bronzer: Applied MAC Mineralize Skinfinish Natural in shade 'Medium Tan' to frame her face. Blush: A light sweep of MAC Powder Blush in 'Mocha' to her cheeks. Highlight: Sprayed MAC Fix+ to fan brush & dipped into MAC Mineralize Skinfinish 'Soft & Gentle' then applied to the highest points of her face...top of cheekbones, point of nose, cupid's bow, etc. Lips: MAC Beurre Cremestick Liner (no longer available but MAC Whirl Lip pencil can also be used for this look) & MAC Creme Cup Lipstick I completed the look with Skindinavia Bridal Makeup Setting Spray!
