THE BREEZY BLOG
When Mariah Carey and Jennifer Lopez announced their residency in Las Vegas I knew that this would be a trip we could not pass up! Now, you would think that my sister & I wanted to see JLo and my mom wanted to see MC right? Wrong! She is just too hip for us these days :) Anyway, we ended up flying to Vegas really just for these two shows and to relax. I think this was the first trip without a schedule and it felt great. The weather to me was nice and on the chilly side. In the 30s at night and 60s during the day. Bye Orange County & Ocean...Hello Las Vegas & Desert! Side note: Upon arriving, we got into a taxi and started a simple convo with the driver about Uber and how that business has affected him. He said he couldn't become an Uber driver because he wouldn't pass their background check due to something that happened a few years ago...haha you should have seen the look on all of our faces! I wasn't sure if we would ever make it out! Yikes! Friday Night was all about Mariah Carey! What an awesome show! Outfit: Sam Edelman Coat no longer available :( When we first arrived we were having small talk with the usher and told her we were on a mother-daughter trip. We then asked her if there were any seats available closer to stage. She said they wouldn't know yet and would have to ask her supervisor. About half way through the show, my mom went and asked again and they said no. One song later (MC was singing "Honey") the usher came over, flashed her light at us and escorted us to an elevator. We got moved from Second Mezzanine to Front Orchestra! I wish I could tell that usher again how much that meant to the three of us. I will never forget this night! After the Mariah Carey #1 to Infinity Show, we went out to a late dinner. We chose TREVI located inside The Forum Shops at Caesars. The food was delicious but my favorite was this Chocolate "Gooey" Cake! The next night we went to the High Roller at The LINQ. The view was absolutely stunning and the cycle lasted about 30 minutes. Tip: The cabins can hold up to 40 people but ours only had like 10 and that was the perfect number! We could all stand by the glass and get a great view/pictures. I am assuming if you go around sunset it is way more packed so keep that in mind! After this, we headed over to Planet Hollywood for dinner and the Jennifer Lopez All I Have show. We asked about moving closer as well but because it was a Saturday night and a much smaller venue, it was sold out! Tip: This is a standing show (there are seats but even JLo encourages everyone to get up and dance), so if you have tall people in front of you then you will be miserable the entire time! Recommendation would be to buy tickets in Section 100s Row A...at $800-$1000 per person lol My Outfit: Shoes: Torrid Boots no longer available Top: Michael Kors Drapefront Cardigan no longer available Bottoms: Mossimo Mid-Rise Jeggings Lip Products: MAC Cosmetics Vino Lipliner & Sin Lipstick After the JLo show...everyone around us had drinks in their hands probably just starting their night and I was just like "Where's the coffee?" hahaha The granny emoji is my fave! On Sunday we headed over to the Treasure Island Buffet and I was sampling all of the yummy desserts. I do not recommend this buffet! Overall, not a ton of variety and it was overpriced. Large Iced Hazelnut Coffee from Coffee Bean and Pitch Perfect to end the trip!
