 The reason why I prefer this method over melting lipsticks is because all lipsticks come in different formulas such as satin, matte and even frost. When you melt the lipstick it can change the formula or even make all the sparkle go to the top or bottom of the pan. This way is simple and fast! Learn how to de-pot lipsticks WITHOUT melting them!What you'll need: -A million lipsticks that are taking over your counter ;) LOL -Vueset Palette (I used Vueset "Tahiti" purchased from Frend's Beauty) -Metal De-potting Spatula (I used one from Crown Brushes)  After spraying the lipstick with 91% alcohol...Cut the lipstick at the base of the tube with your spatula.
Then, scoop out the remainder of the lipstick...SO MUCH IN THERE!  With the same spatula, form the lipstick in the empty palette. Clean the perimeter with a wet wipe.  FINAL RESULTS: Over 40 lipsticks later, I have 2 palettes ready to be packed in my freelance kit. Don't throw away your MAC lipsticks out yet.
