Help, Coronavirus Made Us Postpone Our Wedding!

I can't believe this is going to be a blog topic, but here we are, we are doing this! If you are here because you or someone you know has had to postpone their wedding day due to the coronavirus pandemic a.k.a. COVID-19, I'm sending you a hug....still hugging...almost done...okay - WE GOT THIS!

I KNOW I NEED TO POSTPONE MY WEDDING, NOW WHAT?!

Before we get into this, look at your partner and remember that together, you can get through anything...including this pandemic. Breathe. 

1. COMMUNICATE WITH YOUR VENDORS, BEAUTY TEAM INCLUDED: Depending on the size of this event, you may have anywhere from 2 to 25 vendors and coordinating with each of them individually can add even more stress during such an already stressful time. Consider using a platform like Doodle to make the communication easier! Didn't book a wedding planner? There are several out there that are stepping in to help you during this difficult time, comment below and I can send you a few referrals!
2. NOTIFY YOUR GUESTS: Do this as soon as possible, whether you have a new date or not yet. They are your people, your loved ones...they want to hear from you! Not sure of the new date? 3. SUPPORT YOUR COMMUNITY, THEY'RE SUPPORTING YOU: We are not the only industry that is taking a hit. However, wedding experts face challenges often (rain during an outdoor ceremony, broken wedding gown zipper moments before the bride walks down the aisle, late groom, etc.) which has prepared us for a time like this so we truly can support you through this challenge. Many of us are being very flexible with our contracts as well. Consider supporting your vendors, many of which are small businesses that are hugely affected right now; help by writing reviews for them on how they're handling this situation, sharing their social media posts while you're scrolling during quarantine, etc.
