THE BREEZY BLOG
Camping, Glamping - same thing right? NOT! I love camping but Glamping is the ultimate comfort when outdoors. There are places to go glamping some pretty majestic places but if you're in SoCal, there is quite the place just north of Santa Barbara called El Capitan Canyon. If you don't believe me, just see for yourself below... On our way up... We started the day early and stopped by Rae's Restaurant in Santa Monica. The food portions were big so be prepared! After that, we headed north but made a stop in Summerland. It's a small, quiet beach town just south of Santa Barbara. El Capitan Canyon Do yourself a favor and book a stay at El Capitan Canyon ASAP! We chose a safari tent for our stay (this was my second time staying here). All tents have screened windows and zip-down flaps, beds, bed linens and towels, furnished with bedside tables, chairs, a small desk, storage trunk and coat hooks. Tents are also provided with a small heater and electric lamps for lighting. They also come with your own outdoor picnic table and benches, grill and firepit. There is a building nearby with bathrooms/showers as well as heated swimming pool & spa cabin nearby. As an extra perk, guests can rent bikes/helmets for free! We spent time relaxing and playing cards - it was perfect! Be sure to do the "Llama Hike" - they lead several hike from sunrise to sunset. Book your stay during "New Moon" and you are in for a stargazing treat!! If you don't want to cook on the firepit grill, then you can purchase BBQ kits or eat at the Canyon Market Deli (try their cookies, they're DELICIOUS). Have you ever gone "glamping?" Comment below if you've tried this before!
