Keep reading to find out all about our road trip from Buffalo, NY to Agawa Canyon and back! Los Angeles, CA to Buffalo, NYWe took an overnight flight from Los Angeles, CA to Buffalo, NY. Then we picked up our rental car and crossed over to Canada. May I point out that I left my passport in my carry-on which was in the trunk and I forgot! At the border, you can't get out of your car. The gentleman was nice enough to allow me to do that anyway because we were literally the only ones there and I think he knew that it was my first time crossing over. Yes, I have crossed over to Mexico before but not since the new requirement of having a passport. So moving on... Canada....at first sight!Words cannot begin to describe just how peaceful this moment was...crisp, cold air and the only noise you heard were the hidden birds in all of those trees! Niagara-On-The-LakeNiagara-on-the-Lake is such a cute little town! It reminded me a lot of Napa Valley & Carmel-by-the-Sea combined. Great vineyards for wine-tasting, unique restaurants and boutiques galore. We ate at Sunset Grill and were STUFFED! The food was soon good! Check out more of this adventure in the gallery below: Clifton HillOkay so Clifton Hill was my least favorite part of Niagara Falls...this is the the tourist trap that people talk about. This street has a ton of kids' attractions and it gets CRAZY at night! this street goes all the way down until you meet Queen Victoria Park & the Falls. Clearly my dad loved the Upside Down House :) Niagara FallsFinally...the place that my dad has always dreamed of going! I'm so glad we got to experience this place together. Pretty sure our jaws dropped and repeatedly said "Oh my gosh" because we just couldn't find the words lol We probably stared at this beauty for what seemed like hours! We also walked through Queen Victoria Park and we got a view of Rainbow Bridge. See gallery below: If you want a great view of the Falls, you have to go to Canada's side...hands down the best! Same goes for their boat tour...Hornblower Cruises. They are bigger boats and go in just a tad further in to the Falls then the boats on the United States side. After this, we checked into our hotel and got ready for dinner at My Cousin Vinny's then enjoyed the Niagara Falls Friday Night Firework Show over a bridge. The food was good...we shared pizza and salad while listening to a live band out o the patio. The next morning we decided to watch the sunrise over Niagara Falls before heading out to our next adventure. We pretty much had it to ourselves and it was amazing! Check out the gallery below: One thing we noticed was there were black squirrels everywhere! I was barely able to get a picture of one in front of a yard while we were in Hamilton, Ontario. Devil's Punchbowl FallsSadly, no water but that didn't stop us from exploring! We found this cute place with plants & pastries called Punch Bowl Market and Bakery. We wanted to eat there but choice of warm food was limited so we continued on our trip! Check out gallery below: Algonquin Provincial ParkThis part of the trip was definitely a peak for me and I think my dad would agree. SO much to do from beginner to advanced hiking trails, lakes, etc. I would definitely come back to camp and do more hiking because the views were incredible. Check out gallery below: Agawa Canyon Tour TrainWe woke up at 3am to drive (it was extremely foggy!) from Sudbury to Sault "Soo" St. Marie because boarding started at 7:30am for the Agawa Canyon Tour Train. This was about a 4-hour trip into the Canyon, then we had about 1.5 hours to explore waterfalls then a 4-hour trip back. The first 2 hours were exciting but after that it was very repetitive. It was cool but if I had to choose I would only do this trip during Fall Foliage season (which we missed by a few weeks grrr). While on the train they called each car up one by one for breakfast and then for lunch that was served in another car. Check out gallery below: Sault St. Marie to Sudbury We did see a small fox cross the road later in the night! It was so cute and little! See gallery below of other country road gems we found! TorontoThe next morning we drove a few hours to start heading back toward Toronto and then to NY. Toronto is HUGE!! I mean I knew it was a big city but wow!! We of course checked out the CN Tower with the spectacular views and Glass Floor feature. There were fearless kids running around on that glass so I had to hide me fear and pretend it was fun when really I was freaking out inside! Check out the gallery below: Crossing over to New York on Rainbow Bridge was a breeze...however the United States side looked like we were in a foreign place and I definitely did not feel safe or "at home" :( To top it off, my hotel I booked through Expedia never went through so after calling 4 different hotels, we were able to make a reservation for one by the Buffalo Airport. Eternal Flame - New YorkFor our last day, we drove over to Eternal Flame Falls located in Orchard Park which is just about 30 minutes from the airport. I was not prepared for the 95 degree weather!! The heat and the hike were worth it after seeing the flames for myself but YIKES! See gallery below: After this we headed to a mall to cool down for an hour before going to dinner at Pasquale's which would be the last stop before the airport! The end :) Things to know:
