THE BREEZY BLOG
Okay so now you remove your makeup, what next? For your night routine, it is important to know that you must Cleanse, Correct & Moisturize. This is the perfect time to hydrate with heavier serums or even dry out those annoying whiteheads before that morning meeting you have! Continue reading to find out what I use personally for my skin at the current moment. Enjoy! WASH YOUR HANDS BEFORE TOUCHING YOUR FACE, DO IT NOW :) CLEANSE, TONE, EXFOLIATE Cleanse skin with a a strong cleanser like the SkinCeuticals LHA Cleansing Gel and a Clarisonic to ensure that all makeup and bacteria are removed from the skin. To not overwork my skin, I only use the Clarisonic Mia 3 once a day opposed to the recommended 2x/day instructions. This will prevent pores from getting clogged up and serums will actually be absorbed to work their magic. After the skin is cleansed, you can use a toner or exfoliating pads for daily use. Then you can move on to a mask to treat certain conditions like clogged pores, texture, discoloration, etc. I like to use a mask at least 2-3x a week to target any skin problems I am dealing with. If I am traveling, I load up on water and hydrating masks and serums to correct. Optional - Mask My favorite masks are from The Body Shop but there are inexpensive sheet masks from Skin Foods and Sephora. Clay masks are perfect for clearing pores and bringing the "trash" to the surface. Once on the surface, you can use liquid exfoliant like the one from Paula's Choice to kill the bacteria. CORRECT This is the best time to use serums and corrective products to let them soak into skin while you sleep and your face is free of makeup etc. Lately I have been trying to correct acne scarring with the SkinCeuticals Advanced Pigment Corrector and have really started to see a difference. MOISTURIZE Adding Bio-Oil to my regimen was scary at first because I thought it would clog my pores. I was wrong, it is so lightweight yet so moisturizing. I put that on then top it off with The Body Shop Nutriganics Smoothing Night Cream. Optional - Spot Treatment After I have moisturized I will add my acne spot treatment if I need it. You can find out here of why I use this particular drying lotion. Then that is all! When you wake up in the morning, you can start on your morning routine! Thanks for reading!
