I've lived in Southern Cali my entire life and I can promise you that even though I explore a ton, I have probably only scratched the surface on things to do in LA! I've always wanted to visit the South Coast Botanic Garden so I added it to my 2018 Summer Bucket List. My friend said he wanted to join so we marked our calendars and went on an adventure...
First Stop...Tierra Mia Coffee!
If only there were more Tierra Mia Coffee shops in Orange County (they just opened their first OC loaction in La Habra this year)! If you are visiting this coffee shop for the first time, try any of their Horchata drinks - they won't disappoint.
Second Stop...South Coast Botanic Garden!
The star of the show! We arrived without expectation and we left wanting more (I went back a week later with my cousin and her little ones). When we checked in, they let us know that they had a Fairies vs. Trolls game going on - we ended up finding so many and we had a great time. My friend made a video of our adventure, check it out below!
Below are just a few highlights from my camera roll. We got to see the new Rose Garden (wedding ceremony goals), we found troll & fairy homes and got to make our very own rain sticks! We were here for about 2 1/2 hours so keep that in mind when planning your visit. If you have time, pay the additional $5 to go on the tram to see the entire garden. Then get off and explore on your own!
