THE BREEZY BLOG
You just spent the entire morning getting ready with the intention of your makeup lasting all day BUT things happen...like eating that BBQ chicken and forgetting that grease/oil breaks down lipstick then you realize you still have cake-cutting photos to take so what do you do?! Some pros provide touchup kits for purchase (spoiler alert: we do!) but it is definitely something you can DIY and I'm here to share with you the 3 touchup kit items you need on your wedding day.
1. LIPSTICK or LIP GLOSS
This is absolutely the #1 item you need in your bag...if you could only fit one item then this is it! Matte lipsticks usually last a bit longer but I love the way lip gloss makes my lips feel hydrated as well. I have found that choosing a cream finish lip product is the perfect mix and I definitely have a few favorites to share!
2. BLOTTING SHEETS
Blotting paper a.k.a. blotting sheets are so necessary but not just for the bride, the groom can definitely benefit from them too. So how do they work? Most blotting papers are mad of rice - rice paper is very porous which is a great way to soak up the excess oils. Be careful when purchasing these because not all of them are meant to be used on top of makeup.
Everyone can benefit from this!!! Pop a mint right before the ceremony so you don't scare away your partner before your first kiss. Pop a mint before you start making rounds of thanking each guest for attending your wedding. Pop a mint after eating your delicious catered dinner. When I hand a bride her makeup kit, she is usually impressed and more excited for this item! Here are a few of my favorites...
DIY touchup kits are so easy to put together for your and your bridal party but if that just adds to your long list of things to do then ask you beauty team if they can provide at an additional cost...we sure can!
